I tutor pronunciation, conversation, and accent reduction to people who speak English but cannot be understood easily, and to people already fluent in English who want to reduce or eliminate their foreign accent.
Location: Burnaby, BC
I usually teach in my home in Central Burnaby or in my students' homes. I can also meet you in a cafe if that's what you prefer. The first lesson, which is an evaluation of your needs and skills, is always free, with no obligation to continue.
A graduate of Harvard University (BA) and Columbia Teachers College (MAT), I taught secondary school English, Social Studies, and Drama for 33 years in four countries. Since retiring from the Vancouver School Board, I have been tutoring students who want to reduce their accent or become more comfortable speaking English. I am a member of the B.C. College of Teachers and I have a B.C.Teaching Certificate.
