Grade 12 pre-calculus starts with transformations of functions. Stretches, translations and reflections, oh my!

Transformations is a basis that will come up again and again in each future chapter of grade 12 pre-calc, so understanding transformation is critical. I'll go over understanding what each transformation means, the order to apply them, and how to determine them from a graph or using coordinates.

If you have specific questions/examples you want explained, either include a picture when registering, or have it handy for when the session starts. In absense of specific questions, I'll use an illistrative example to give an overview of each type of translation.

I can help with any high school math, from grade 8 to 12. I cover pre-calculus and foundations. I've also helped mature students with math upgrades for career changes.
Location: Nanaimo - Ladysmith, BC
I'm located in Cedar, equidistant from both Ladysmith and downtown Nanaimo. I can tutor either in-person in the dedicated tutoring room in my home, or on-line using Zoom.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and many years experience tutoring students in math. I create notes of every session, and e-mail a PDF to students at the end of each session. I take only a limited number of students to keep my schedule flexible to accommodate extracurricular activities and sports.
