This session is for tutors listed on findAtutor.ca that are interested in creating sessions on findAtutor.ca. I'll go over the expectations of what sessions are, how to created a session, and show how to search for sessions and to view the registration list for the session you will be hosting.

This is intended for tutors that already do on-line tutoring, and want to use sessions on findAtutor.ca as a means of getting registrations for group tutoring or to promote their tutoring business. I'll be covering aspects and features on findAtutor.ca only, and NOT be covering how to do on-line tutoring. I have a separate series of sessions going over an introduction to on-line tutoring.

This is your chance to ask questions, and provide feedback about using sessions on findAtutor.ca. Make sure to include your question(s) with your registration and I'll try to answer as many as I can in the session. You will get the chance to pose questions during the session as well.

About me:

I'm the owner and administrator of findAtutor.ca. I'm also a math tutor. I've been tutoring since 2001 and created findAtutor.ca in 2003 as a means to advertise my (and other tutor's) services on-line.

I've always done all tutoring in-person...until March 2020. I pivoted to on-line tutoring and that went much better than I expected.

I wanted a way to give back to the community, helping students whose parents perhaps could not afford tutoring during the pandemic. In June 2020 the idea of "sessions" - a means for tutors to offer group on-line tutoring, and parents/students to register for those sessions, came to mind.

Launched in September 2020, in addition to math, I'm also offering free group sessions to tutors to share the idea and help create their own sessions on findAtutor.ca.
