How to add a listing.
Detailed information on how to add your listing on findAtutor.ca:
1. Create an account.
- Click on "my account" in the menu above, and select "create new account".
- Choose an account name (can be anything, doesn't have to be your name).
- You must provide a valid e-mail address, and your full real name (first and last name) in order to have a tutor listing.
- Read through the terms and conditions and check the "agree" box, and click on the "create new account" button.
- Check your e-mail for the account verification message. If you do not see the message within a few minute, check your spam/junk mail folder. Update your spam filters to accept messages from findAtutor.ca to ensure you receive future messages.
- Login to your account (if not already logged in) and click on "my account" int he menu near the top of the screen.
- Click on the tab labelled "my listings."
- Click on the green link "create a new tutor listing."
- Fill in the form. Take your time to read the description for each field and place the appropriate information in each field. Try to enter information in every field, but keep text fields short. You can come back to edit your listing to make changes when ever you wish.
- Click on the "save" button at the bottom of the form when you are finished.
- Each listing allows 1 area selection and up to 6 subjects. If you would like to have listings in other areas, you can create additional listings selecting different areas. Submit them now to take advantage of a multiple listing discount. Follow the steps above for as many listings as you would like.
- Click on "my account" again, and then click on the tab labelled "my orders."
- Click on the "create a new order" link near the bottom of the page.
- Select the amount of time you want your listing to be posted for. If you created more than one listing, you can add those to your order too.
- Once you added everything you want to your order, click on button labelled "order" at the bottom of the page.
- Chose your payment option: Credit card using PayPal, electronic money transfer or mailing in a cheque (mailing information is on the order form).
- All listings are reviewed by an administrator prior to posting, typically within one or two business days. Allow up to one week for your listing to be reviewed before inquiring about the status of your listing.
- Check your e-mail daily. If there is information that needs to be added or clarified, you will be sent an e-mail message asking to update your listing prior to approval.
- You will be notified by e-mail once your listing is posted.
