Elementary
Subjects: Learning Disabilities, Reading and Writing, Orton-Gillingham
Orton-Gillingham is a direct, multisensory, structured, and sequential way to teach reading and writing.
Location: Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows, BC
I prefer to tutor in my home (easier than transporting the many multi-sensory tools needed for the lessons). I am located seconds from Kanaka Elementary. Guardians are welcome to stay during the lessons.
I am a certified Orton-Gillingham tutor with 20 year elementary school teaching experience. I have experience working with students with many diverse learning needs. In addition, I have experience as a Behaviour Interventionist. I am also a mom of two daughters with dyslexia. I am advertising for summer tutoring. I would like to meet with my summer students for one "get to know you session" in June. From there I will develop an individualized tutoring program for the summer.
